![]() ![]() So I removed both comodo firewall and avast antivirus and the problem remained. I thought perhaps something in comodo firewall may be to blame so I uninstalled that, however it doesn't fully remove itself, it's still hanging around in the registry. I also tried vmware-vdiskmanager from "VMware-vix-disklib-6.5.2-7387093.x86_64" but that doesn't seem to do the same thing as vmware-mount. I know the files are not corrupt as they run, so I suspect this version of vmare-mount is too old? ![]() Verify that the file is a virtual disk file and that it has not been corrupted". I tried running "vmware-mount" from "vmware-mount-5.5.0-18463" but that reports "Unable to mount the virtual disk. I assume the vstor2-mntapi20-shared driver is working as the virtual machines run? Wasn't sure what services etc to look for in administrative tools to make sure all of the vmware stuff is actually running. I suspect something on the win 7 side has broken but I have no idea on where to start. I've tried using "run as admin" and without, both ways give the same result. The map virtual disk window shows the disk as being connected, but I cannot see it in explorer and when I click disconnect it supposedly disconnects. I've been able to map the drives in the past it's just that I've had no need to do so until recently so I don't know when this "broke". ![]() refers to a location that is unavailable". I recently tried to map a virtual disk so I could access the drive on the host Win 7 pro 64 but was given a popup with ". I'm using 10.0.7 workstation and all my VM work fine.
