Not all apps have the economies of scale. Unlike MS Office, most apps cannot sign up enterprises for 6-7 figure annual contracts. Not all apps have the same scale as MS Office or Netflix. These small apps are asking the same price as something like MS Office! It’s absurd. They won’t, but boy would it would be nice to feel good about opening my iPad and not like a constant struggle to keep the cost under a reasonable amount per month. Tim Cook and crew have the power to show customers they care about making good products, not good profits. I’m sure the mods and community will block this, it’s knocking Apple, but the state of the App Store is untenable as a lifelong Apple fan. That UI pattern is not something that is reasonable.
